Brewery: Garage Beer Co. Origin: Spain Style: Imperial / Double New England IPA ABV: 8.2%
Imperial IPA or Double IPA is a pale ale made with a high hop presence. Its color varies between gold and copper orange, with little or no turbidity. The nose is dominated by hops, with notes of American varieties - pine, citrus, tropical fruits, etc. - and in cases where dry hopping is carried out, it can also have herbal notes. In the mouth it is very bitter and hoppy, with floral notes of American hop varieties. In the end it goes from dry to dry, with abundant carbonation. It is a more bitter and hoppy style than an English IPA or an American IPA , and in turn less maltose and alcoholic than an American Barleywine .
