Sad Songs & Maltses is our latest experimental foray, delving into malt profiles and assessing how each of three feature malts (Pale, Wheat, & Rye) interact differently with a duo of Cascade and Citra hops. Each should bring its own personality, but will they tease out different hop and yeast characters?
Rye is an adjunct grain that tends to bring a certain spice to the party, keeping a clean, respectable appearance while adding an unsuspecting flair in the background.
